Upcoming Community Events

This critical community initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden of back-to-school shopping for families across Aiken, Edgefield, Richmond, Columbia, Burke, and surrounding counties. By rallying local residents, businesses, and volunteers, we can ensure that every child—regardless of their economic background—walks into the classroom on day one equipped with the tools they need to succeed.
 

The impact of Stuff the Bus goes far beyond notebooks, crayons, and backpacks. According to United Way leaders, providing children with their own supplies fosters classroom confidence, boosts self-esteem, and reduces chronic absenteeism. It also lifts a heavy burden off of local teachers, who frequently spend hundreds of dollars out of their own pockets each year to keep their classrooms stocked. Last year's effort successfully collected 5 school buses full of essential learning items, a testament to the immense generosity of our community.

 Community members can participate by dropping off new school supplies at any of these locations below:
